A consolatory palinode. About τὸ κράτιστον in Plut. Cons. ad Apoll. (108E).
This article discusses a passage from the Consolatio ad Apolloniumattributed to Plutarch (108E). The textual analysis confi rms the correctnessof τὸ κράτιστον, rather than the suggested τὸ ἄριστον, and thegeneral discussion shows how the Consolatio was written in a coherentand organic structure.
