Abstract

Vincenzo Tandoi’s philology and literary criticism.
Vincenzo Tandoi was an exceptionally gifted textual critic: he did his emendations to Latin authors from Naevius to Luxorius. Tandoi did not limit himself only to restore, his textual criticism nearly always became a literary interpretation of the passage and the author. The article briefly reconstructs his original working method and its scientific aims.
