A window opened on human heart: a paradigmatic metaphor in VittorioAlfieri’s La FinestrinaThis work deals with the traditional theme of the opened window, alreadydeveloped in the ancient literature, and focuses on the Alfieriancomedy La Finestrina. The opened window is used as an image of therevelation of the truth. Specifically, the second part of the essay analysesthe distinctive features of La Finestrina and highlights Alfieri’ssceptical view.
