Abstract

This note suggests a new reading for a very rare coin from Pamphylia, usually dated around the V cent. BC. The interpretation here proposed is based on the Late Antique paraphrase of the Ixeutica (I, 7), which contains a singular mythological tradition, possibly from Side, about the kite and the pomegranate.
