Abstract

Herakles and Hadrian: a note on kingship

This article is aiming to analyze the final section of the First Discourse on Kingship pronounced by Dio of Prusa in Rome (99 or 100 AD). Beside this, the author suggests a possible relation between this text and the iconography of some later coins of the Emperor Hadrian.
