LE MANI O I MANI? PER IL TESTO E L’INTERPRETAZIONE DI APULEIO, METAMORFOSI 4.23.2

Abstract

This paper discusses a new interpretation of a passage from Apuleius’ Metamorphoses from both a textual and exegetical point of view. The author argues that we should understand manibus at 4.23.2 as the ablative of Mānes, and not of mănus, on the basis of a parallelism with 4.22.5.
