Introduction
The journal “Studi Classici e Orientali”, responsible for processing the personal data of users that visit the web site http://www.sco-pisa.it, binds itself to manage this site in strict observance of the Italian Legislative Decree n. 196 / 2003 on data protection.
All activities of our journal concerning the processing of personal data of the users are fully described in the present note, in accordance with Section 13 of the above-mentioned decree.

Gathering and use of personal data
The journal “Studi Classici e Orientali” gathers personal data of its users only when they register themselves to enter a specific service or to buy a product. In all other cases the site can be accessed anonymously.
For registration, only data indicated as “common” (for instance personal data) are requested; the users will be never requested to confer data indicated as “sensitive” in Section 4.1.d of the Italian Legislative Decree n. 196 / 2003.
Some of the requested data are optional, but registration requires entering the obligatory data fields, which are strictly necessary in order to provide the service. The optional fields are useful to improve it and provide better communication.
When the mandatory fields have been completed, the system will ask the user to express his/her consent to the processing of his/her data. Only this consent will allow the registration.
Modality and purpose of processing personal data
Personal data of the users are processed manually and electronically. “Studi Classici e Orientali” uses this information only for the following purposes: to provide the services requested by the users, to check the quality of the service, and to undertake market researches and statistics.
Only following the specific consent of the users will “Studi Classici e Orientali” be entitled to utilize these data for commercial or promotional purposes, for instance the sending of adverts or information.
Sharing and spreading of personal data
The information provided by the users cannot be shared. The data can be disclosed to third parties only in the following cases:
