New Library of Classical and Oriental Studies
Since the foundation of our journal “Studi Classici e Orientali”, no space limit has been fixed to the contributions. Their length often is over the average, and sometimes monographic issues are been published. In this prospect we thought it right to create beside the journal a new series, intended to receive as apart volumes the largest essays.
It is a revival of the original “Biblioteca degli Studi Classici e Orientali”, once directed by Emilio Gabba and Graziano Arrighetti, then turned to “Biblioteca di Studi Antichi” as a fully autonomous series.
Our intention is to maintain in the new series the same plurality of interests peculiar to our journal, open to all aspects of the ancient world, both classical and oriental, as well as to every methodological approach to the problems.
We intend also like this to reaffirm our deep conviction that for every argument concerning the ancient world a serious study could not ignore the inseparable unity of the science of antiquity.
The first volume of the vew series was F. Russo, ‘Odium regni’. Un aspetto immutabile dell’immaginario collettivo romano?, published in december 2015.
Four other volumes are in print:
Andrea Aragosti, Storia dell’ekdosis di Plauto
Domitilla Campanile (ed.), Due secoli con Ivanhoe. Atti della giornata di studi (Pisa, 18.10.2018)
Carlo Slavich, I curatores rei publicae nelle province ellenofone dell’Impero Romano. I, Le province dell’Asia Minore
Aa.Vv., Esercizi di stile in memoria di Daniele Mastai.
